SMT is driven by the unwavering commitment to deliver solutions and services that help their customers derive maximum performance from their end point and server environments. Founded in 1998 and based in Houston, Texas, SMT is already an international provider of software management solutions for industries ranging from financial services to manufacturing.

Together, the company executives bring over 60 years of IT industry expertise. Over their careers, these leaders maintained both the corporate IT and manufacturing process control environments of large multinational corporations. As their knowledge base expanded, they developed their own streamlined methods for managing computer software and platforms.

In 2001, the founders launched their flagship product, IT Works, a business solution created to automate the management of the software life cycle across the enterprise. IT Works ends forever the hassle and cost of manual software management by empowering automated installation, configuration, management and modification of computer software from a single screen.

Mark Hogan
Co-Founder, President and CTO

Mark Hogan directs SMT’s product development and support departments. Prior to SMT, Mr. Hogan worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for 20 years, managing a variety of computer environments, including Texaco and Equilon Enterprises, LLC. Ted Blaylock
Co-Founder, Vice President and Managing Consultant

Ted Blaylock joined SMT in 2004 and serves as Managing Consultant. Mr. Blaylock brings with him years of IT management experience managing development and support teams in the Oil & Gas Industry. Prior to joining SMT, Mr. Blaylock held positions with BMC Software, Texaco, Enserch Energy Services, and Equiva Services.
